Safety Guidelines

Gel blasters are toys, but safety is not a game.

⚠️ Eye Protection is Non-Negotiable

Full-seal ANSI Z87.1+ rated eye protection is the single most important piece of safety gear. Regular glasses are not sufficient. A gel ball to the unprotected eye can cause permanent vision damage.

Required Minimum Gear

  • Eye protection: Full-seal goggles meeting ANSI Z87.1+
  • Face protection: Mesh lower face mask or full face mask
  • Footwear: Closed-toe shoes or boots
  • Gloves: Finger protection recommended
  • Clothing: Long sleeves and long pants

Field Rules

  • Always chronograph your blaster before play — respect field FPS limits
  • Never remove eye protection while on the field
  • Call "hit" immediately when struck — no exceptions
  • Maintain minimum engagement distances for high-FPS blasters
  • No blind firing — you must see your target
  • Surrender rule: if within 3 meters, offer "surrender" rather than shooting

Transport & Storage

  • Transport gel blasters in a bag or case — never openly in public
  • Remove batteries before storing
  • Store in a locked container if children are present
  • Never modify a gel blaster to look more like a real firearm
  • Never point a gel blaster at anyone who is not actively playing
